The Clearwater Beach estate where wrestling icon Hulk Hogan spent his final years is on the market after a series of multimillion-dollar price cuts.

For more than a decade, 1040 Eldorado Avenue was Hulk Hogan’s home on Clearwater Beach.

It was where the wrestling icon lived during the later chapter of his life, part of a two-property Gulf-front compound he assembled over several years. It was also the address where emergency crews responded on the morning of July 24, 2025, after Hogan suffered a medical emergency.

Now the house is for sale.

And after starting the year at nearly $11 million, the asking price has just been reduced again, this time to $6.9 million.

That’s more than a $4 million reduction from the original January asking price.

A $3.33 Million Purchase Becomes Hulk Hogan’s Home

Long before the current listing, the property already had an interesting real-estate history.

The Mediterranean-style house was built in 2009 directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Public records show previous sales of approximately $3.07 million in 2010 before Hogan, whose legal name was Terry Gene Bollea, purchased it for $3.33 million in April 2012.

The timing of Hogan’s purchase is notable.

Just weeks earlier, he had sold the enormous Belleair estate made famous by the VH1 reality series "Hogan Knows Best." That 17,000-plus-square-foot property had originally been offered for $25 million before eventually selling for $6.2 million.

Then Hogan moved to Clearwater Beach.

The change wasn't simply a new address. It represented a different chapter of his life.

His new house was much smaller than the sprawling Belleair estate, but it occupied an enviable piece of beachfront property on the north end of Clearwater Beach.

And Hogan quickly became closely associated with the community.

Later in 2012, he opened Hogan’s Beach Shop on Mandalay Avenue. At the grand opening, Hogan joked that he was trying to transition from being the world’s greatest wrestler to the world’s greatest "beach guy."

Clearwater Beach eventually became more than a place where Hogan owned a house. It became part of his public identity.

He later opened Hogan’s Hangout on Clearwater Beach, and fans visiting the area could encounter his name on businesses only a short distance from where he actually lived.

Then He Bought the House Next Door

Hogan apparently liked the location enough to expand.

In 2016, he purchased the smaller property next door for approximately $1.6 million, effectively creating a two-property beachfront compound. The neighboring cottage has since been separated from the main residence for sale and has also been placed on the market.

That means the property now being offered at 1040 Eldorado Avenue represents only the main residence, not the entire Hogan compound.

The main house alone contains 5,074 square feet of interior living space across three levels. It has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half baths, according to the current MLS information.

Nearly 1,500 additional square feet of covered outdoor living space face the Gulf.

Inside are teak floors, marble and natural-stone finishes, a chef’s kitchen, gas fireplace, wine storage and a private elevator. The approximately 1,000-square-foot primary suite includes its own Gulf-facing terrace, sitting area, wet bar, large walk-in closet and spa-style bathroom.

Outside, the house has a heated pool and spa overlooking the water, with direct access to the beach.

For all of those features, however, the most significant part of the property's history may be the person who called it home.

Hulk Hogan’s Final Years in Clearwater

By the time Hogan settled at 1040 Eldorado Avenue, "Hulkamania" had already become part of American pop culture.

He had been one of the central figures in professional wrestling’s explosion into mainstream entertainment during the 1980s and remained one of the most recognizable wrestlers in the world decades later.

But Clearwater was where much of the final chapter of Terry Bollea’s life unfolded.

Hogan married Sky Daily in Florida in 2023. Later that year, the couple was baptized together at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in nearby Largo.

He continued to maintain a visible presence around Clearwater Beach while dealing privately with significant health problems.

Hogan had undergone numerous surgeries over the years, particularly involving his back and neck.

Then, on July 24, 2025, emergency personnel were called to 1040 Eldorado Avenue.

Hogan was experiencing cardiac arrest at his home. He was transported to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, where he was pronounced dead at age 71.

Records subsequently identified his cause of death as acute myocardial infarction, a heart attack. Medical records also revealed that Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation and leukemia.

The house where he had spent more than a decade was now the final home of one of professional wrestling’s most famous figures.

Six Months Later, the House Hit the Market

On January 30, 2026, approximately six months after Hogan's death, 1040 Eldorado Avenue was listed for $10.989 million.

Then the price started coming down.

On April 28, the asking price dropped to $8,999,999.

On June 12, it was reduced again to $7.9 million.

And on September 3, another $1 million came off the price.

The current asking price is $6.9 million.

That represents a reduction of $4.089 million, approximately 37%, from the original $10.989 million asking price.

It is still considerably more than the $3.33 million Hogan paid for the property in 2012.

The current listing also gives some perspective on what it costs simply to own a property of this scale. Public records cited by Zillow show 2025 property taxes of approximately $81,816.

The house remains actively listed as of September 5, 2026.

A House Can Change Owners. Its History Doesn't.

Someone may eventually purchase 1040 Eldorado Avenue because of the Gulf views, the beach access, the pool, the architecture or simply because it is one of Clearwater Beach's luxury waterfront properties.

Someone else may be fascinated by something that isn't captured by square footage or a property appraisal.

Hulk Hogan lived here.

He bought the house in 2012 as he moved into a new chapter of his life. He expanded the property by purchasing the house next door. Clearwater Beach became closely associated with his businesses and public life.

And this was the home from which emergency crews transported him on the final day of his life.

None of those facts tells you whether the property is worth $6.9 million.

But they are part of the history of the address.

That distinction matters for homebuyers at every price level.

A home inspection evaluates the physical condition of a property. An appraisal helps determine its value. Both are important parts of the traditional real-estate process.

Neither is designed to tell you everything that may have happened at an address before you arrived.

House-history research provides a different piece of the picture.

Before spending hundreds of dollars on an inspection and appraisal, research the house history too. Learn what may have happened at the property and decide whether anything you discover affects your decision to move forward.

A house can be remodeled. Owners can change. Listing photos can change.

The history connected to the address remains.

House History First → Inspection → Appraisal → Better-Informed Decisions.

Would owning Hulk Hogan’s longtime and final home make 1040 Eldorado Avenue more valuable to you, or would its history make you think twice?
