UPDATE — October 3, 2026

New details are emerging about Ken Urker's final hours and his relationship with Gypsy Rose Blanchard before he was found dead at 107 Double H Drive in Raceland.

TMZ reports that Blanchard sent Urker a birthday voice message at approximately 2 p.m. on October 1, only hours before he was found unresponsive inside the residence. The message reportedly included birthday wishes and discussion about their daughter, Aurora.

New reporting also indicates the couple had been spending time apart. Sources told TMZ that Urker had asked for some space and Blanchard had been staying with her parents while belongings were being moved from their previous apartment. Those sources maintain that the couple had not formally ended their relationship and had planned to move into another residence together.

Urker's sister has publicly disputed aspects of that account, however, creating conflicting reports about the status of the relationship before his death.

The most important question remains unanswered: Urker's official cause of death.

An autopsy was completed October 2, but the Lafourche Parish coroner says there is currently no definitive cause of death. Toxicology testing remains pending.

Authorities continue to investigate the death and have reported finding no evidence of foul play to date.

DiedInHouse will continue updating this article as verified information becomes available.

He had turned 34 that day. A Louisiana address is suddenly at the center of a nationally followed story.

Ken Urker, the longtime partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and father of her daughter, Aurora, was found dead Thursday inside a residence in Raceland, Louisiana.

It was his 34th birthday.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office publicly identified the location as:

107 Double H Drive, Lot 4
Raceland, LA 70394

Now a police report is providing new details about what deputies found inside.

Who Is Gypsy Rose Blanchard?

For anyone unfamiliar with the story, Gypsy Rose Blanchard became nationally known because of the extraordinary case involving her mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard.

For years, Dee Dee portrayed Gypsy as suffering from numerous serious illnesses and disabilities. The case later exposed allegations that Gypsy had been subjected to years of medical abuse and unnecessary treatments.

In 2015, Dee Dee was killed inside the family's Springfield, Missouri, home by Gypsy's then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn.

Gypsy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for her role in planning her mother's killing and received a 10-year prison sentence. She was released in December 2023 after serving more than seven years.

The case became the subject of documentaries, television programs, podcasts and Hulu's dramatized series "The Act."

After her release, Gypsy's relationship with Ken Urker again became public. The couple later welcomed their daughter, Aurora, in December 2024.

That history helps explain why Urker's sudden death at 107 Double H Drive is now receiving intense national attention.

What Happened at 107 Double H Drive?

According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the Raceland residence at approximately 6:15 p.m. on October 1.

Urker had reportedly failed to show up for work and wasn't responding to calls or messages, raising concerns among family members.

According to the police report obtained by People, Gypsy's sister-in-law, Anita Blanchard, requested a welfare check after Urker missed work and could not be reached.

Gypsy's younger half-brother, Dylan Blanchard, reportedly saw Urker lying unresponsive on his bed through a bedroom window.

Responding deputies entered the residence.

Urker was pronounced dead.

What Did Police Find Inside Ken Urker's Home?

The newly reported details about what deputies encountered inside 107 Double H Drive are now driving another wave of national coverage.

According to the police report, deputies found syringes and a spoon in a bathroom near an unidentified brown powdery substance.

Another syringe was reportedly found on the nightstand beside Urker's bed, along with two shot glasses.

Deputies also found a handgun on the nightstand.

Importantly, the firearm was reportedly holstered.

Urker was described as cold to the touch when deputies entered the bedroom, indicating he may have been dead for some time before being discovered.

According to the report, authorities did not find evidence that Urker had suffered a gunshot wound.

People obtained additional details from the police report describing the scene inside the Raceland residence.

What Was Ken Urker's Cause of Death?

As of October 2, 2026, an official cause and manner of death have not been publicly released.

That distinction is important.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has publicly said she believes Urker died from an overdose.

But that is not yet the official determination from the coroner.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says investigators have found no evidence of foul play so far, although authorities have not completely ruled it out while the investigation remains open.

People reported that authorities have found no evidence of foul play to date.

An autopsy was completed October 2.

Standard toxicology testing is also being conducted.

TMZ reported on the autopsy and toxicology testing following Urker's death.

Those results may provide investigators and the coroner with a clearer answer about what caused Urker's death.

Until an official determination is released, reports describing his death as an overdose should be understood as preliminary.

Ken Urker Died on His 34th Birthday

One of the most striking details surrounding the story is the date.

Ken Urker turned 34 on October 1.

It was also the day he died.

Urker had reportedly attended church the previous evening, but family members later became concerned when he didn't show up for work and could not be reached.

A welfare check eventually led family members and deputies to the residence at 107 Double H Drive.

Who Was Ken Urker?

Urker became widely known because of his relationship with Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

The two originally connected while Gypsy was incarcerated.

Urker reportedly wrote to her after learning about her case, and their relationship eventually became romantic.

They became engaged in 2018 but later ended their relationship.

Gypsy married Ryan Anderson in 2022 while still incarcerated.

After her December 2023 release and subsequent separation from Anderson, she and Urker reconnected.

Their renewed relationship became public in 2024.

Urker also appeared on Lifetime's "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up."

Ken Urker and Gypsy Rose Blanchard Had a Daughter

In July 2024, Gypsy announced that she and Urker were expecting a child.

Their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, was born in December 2024.

The pregnancy and their relationship attracted significant attention because of the enormous public interest surrounding Gypsy's life following her release from prison.

Following Urker's death, Gypsy described him publicly as an amazing father and someone she deeply loved.

The couple's daughter was 21 months old when Urker died.

Why 107 Double H Drive Is Now Part of the Story

Most people don't think about an address when reading breaking news.

At DiedInHouse, we do.

107 Double H Drive was simply a Raceland address before October 1.

Now it is publicly connected to an event being reported by national entertainment and news organizations across the country.

That's how property history develops.

A house doesn't need to be a mansion, historic landmark or famous movie location to have a story.

Sometimes an ordinary-looking residence becomes connected to an event followed by millions of people.

And that history can remain attached to the address long after the headlines disappear.

What Happens to a House After Someone Dies There?

A death inside a home does not necessarily mean that information will automatically appear in a future real estate listing.

Disclosure laws involving deaths and so-called stigmatized properties vary considerably by state.

A stigmatized property is generally a home whose history or reputation could affect how some potential buyers perceive it even when the event caused no physical defect to the property.

Deaths, highly publicized crimes, notorious former residents and other events can sometimes contribute to that stigma.

For some buyers, none of this matters.

For others, it matters a great deal.

And for still others, knowing the history could become part of how they evaluate or negotiate the purchase of a property.

That's why researching an address independently can uncover information that a standard property listing, inspection or appraisal was never designed to provide.

DiedInHouse Is Now About Much More Than Death

DiedInHouse.com started in 2013 with a simple question that was surprisingly difficult for homebuyers to answer:

Did someone die in this house?

But over the years, we learned that people wanted to know much more about a property before buying, renting or researching it.

DiedInHouse has grown into a comprehensive house-history research service.

Today, a DiedInHouse property history search may include information about previous residents, deaths associated with an address, fires, reported criminal or drug-related activity, registered sex offenders, nearby cemeteries, property information and other events or circumstances connected to an address.

We also research historic homes, famous residences, stigmatized properties and noteworthy addresses like 107 Double H Drive.

Put simply:

DiedInHouse is now a house-history company with a spooky name.

And if DiedInHouse isn't quite the name for you, you can also try HouseHas.com, our broader property-history platform.

The idea behind both is simple:

Know more about a house before making one of the biggest financial decisions of your life.

You can also explore more house history, famous homes and unusual properties in DiedInHouse Property Insights.

House History Goes Beyond What You See in a Listing

A real estate listing tells you what a property looks like today.

An inspection can tell you about its physical condition.

An appraisal can help determine its market value.

But none of those is designed to answer a much broader question:

What happened at this address before I got here?

That's where house-history research is different.

A property's history can involve previous residents, deaths, fires, crimes, renovations, ownership changes, notable events, famous occupants and other information connected to the address.

Not every buyer will care about every event.

That's not the point.

The point is knowing.

Research the house history first. Then the inspection. Then the appraisal.

What Happens Next in the Ken Urker Investigation?

The investigation into Ken Urker's death remains open.

Authorities say they have found no evidence of foul play to date, but they have not completely ruled it out while the investigation continues.

An autopsy has been completed.

Toxicology testing is pending.

The official cause and manner of death have not yet been publicly announced.

Those results could provide the next major development in this story.

Until then, speculation about exactly how Urker died should not be presented as established fact.

What has been confirmed is that Ken Urker was found dead inside the residence at:

107 Double H Drive, Lot 4
Raceland, LA 70394
